Bitumen on Bone reads 16.1:1. Bitumen on Yellow reads 12.0:1. Yellow never carries text below 24px: put ink on yellow, not yellow on paper.
As implemented
The guide states deep gold on Bone reads 4.9:1, but #8C6A00 measures 4.27:1 and Slate measures 4.03:1. Body text uses #635D50 and gold text uses #856400, which hold the stated intent at every size.
